Looking to refresh a corner of your garden or enhance your home’s curb appeal? Our Garden Sketch is just what you need! This service is perfect for DIY enthusiasts who prefer to handle the plant installation themselves but need some assistance with the layout, plant selection, and determining the right number of plants for their space.
Garden Sketch Example:
This sketch covers a space that is 186 square feet.
You will receive two plant options for each plant icon.

WHAT IS INCLUDED?

You will receive a digital sketch ​that will identify existing structures, plant placement, and plant names, as well as, ​a price list of plants and recommended products. 

What does it cost?

This service costs $299. This service covers one space, 200 square feet or less, and includes up to six​ plant varieties chosen from a preselected list of plants.

How do i Get Started?

Step One
​collect project information

We will create your Garden Sketch personalized to your home, based on the
​information you provide. You will be responsible for providing the following:
  • Measurements of all elements around the area you want designed (house, existing beds, tree locations, windows, driveway/walkway, etc.)
  • Sun conditions
  • Photos and/or video of the area you want designed
  • Soil sample (optional)
  • A copy of your property survey (optional)

Step Two
Draw out Your Space

​Download and print provided grid paper to create a quick sketch of your area. 
If you prefer to pick up a paper copy of the grid paper, please visit our Garden Center. 

Step three
Fill out Questionnaire & submit Payment

Complete the questionnaire at the bottom of this page and pay for your Garden Sketch. 

Helpful tips on Collecting
Your project information 

What does a 200 square foot space look like?
A 200 square foot space is approximately a 10' x 20' space.
What if my space is larger than 200 square feet?
Not a problem. When you are ready to pay for your sketch at the bottom of the page, you will have the ability to add more square footage in 25 sqft increments (100 sqft increments will be offered for spaces over 300 sqft). 

The limit for a single Garden Sketch is 500 square feet. 
How do I take a soil sample?
Clemson's AG Service Lab provides a wealth of knowledge regarding soil testing.

How do I record the sun conditions of my space?
We recommend taking time-stamped photos at least five times throughout the day (Example: 7am, 10am, 1pm, 4pm, 7pm). Be sure to stand in the same spot each time you take a photo to maximize accuracy. 
What is a property survey?
​A property survey confirms a property's boundary lines and legal description. It should locate the property lines, restrictions, easements, location of your home and any existing hardscapes (driveways, walkways, patios) and trees.
