You love plants and getting your hands dirty. You are energetic, punctual and motivated. You have a passion for horticulture, gardening and inspiring others to grow. You have a thorough knowledge of plants that grow in Charleston. You like to end your day with the pride of knowing you did your best and made some great progress towards your projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be responsible for all nursery activities related to the supervisor and efficient cultivation of woody and perennial plants as they are moved from the greenhouses to production fields. You will work under our grower and assist guiding and directing our Production Team. Major duties include:

RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be responsible for all nursery activities related to the supervisor and efficient cultivation of woody and perennial plants as they are moved from the greenhouses to production fields. You will work under our grower and assist guiding and directing our Production Team. Major duties include:
- Manage overhead and drip irrigation
- Correct timing of fertilization and pruning/pinching
- Schedule the potting up of plants as needed
- Correct plant spacing
- Pesticide applications-herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, miticides based on IPM protocols
- All necessary activities to keep fields clean and weed free
- Make nursery's own growing mix-order components and keep stocked constantly
- Help direct and supervise other production team members
- Maintain daily records of activities
- Continue to work towards improving efficiency in production systems
- Assist with Sales as needed

- Able to handle physical activity such as lifting, loading, and unloading large plants
- Bachelor Degree in Horticulture/Agriculture or related field
- Strong work ethic, integrity, fast-paced
- Proficient computer skills with Word and Excel
- Landscaping/Nursery/Garden Center experience preferred
